Here's a quick peek at my Insanity Fit Test! This program is so different from Les Mills Combat but it is a good different! It's nice to get into something new and exciting to push my limits even if it is super hard to do!

The Results are in! Les Mills Combat Round 2 Post Challenge


I can't believe that the Challenge is over but I'm super excited about my results and ready to move on to INSANITY!!

Les Mills Combat Round 2 Day 33

Hey everyone! I wanted to post a quick little note and let you know that I filmed these next two days out of order. I am a week behind on posting my videos to youtube and about a 1 1/2 weeks behind on updating this blog, due to vacation, so I would usually post them in calendar order for your viewing pleasure but due to outside circumstances doing so might be confusing! You will see what I mean as the week goes on! And so without further ado here is day 34 filmed on day 33! ;)

Les Mills Combat Round 2 Day 31

Hey everyone! So I think that I am a genius but it turns out that I am not! ;) I tried to record day 30 using my lap tops' webcam, since I keeping getting interrupted while using my phone....but that didn't work out the way I planned either and so I have no video for day 30 which makes me sad                      :( because it was the half way point and I was super excited about it on camera and now I can't share my goofy faces with you guys! But that's OK, we live, we learn and we move on (and we discover the "airplane" setting on the phone which should spot those pesky interruptions from occurring :D ) so... here it is Day 31, enjoy!

Les Mills Combat Round 2 Day 12 & 13

Sorry for the end of the video, my time said 8 mins and I was starting to get mad that it had only recorded 8 mins when I realized that it was 1 hour and 8 mins and it had rolled over after the 1 hour mark and then it cut me off after 1 hour and 10 mins! LOL! So anyway, I probably committed a workout sin by rolling 2 days into one but I felt strong and energized and even though I could hardly lift my legs afterward it was a great workout!! The Upper Body Blow Out was extremely hard but I feel like I did better than I expected so that is AWESOME!! I have the weakest Upper Body ever! Even when I played sports as a kid (Basketball, Softball) I never could do a push up so maybe after a few rounds of Blow Out I might be able to do a few! ;) Here's to a great week everyone!! #StayWithTheFight!

Les Mills Combat Round 2 Day 4

Breakfast: Turkey, Cheddar, Egg Scramble, 3 egg whites and one whole egg was quite delicious! I had a protein shake for a midmorning snack and a Chicken Pita for Lunch! Then I had Mediterranean Eggs for an afternoon snack, which were hard boiled eggs, yolk removed and filled with hummus! Quite delicious but I was traveling so I didn't get a picture, I was eating on the go!!
And Dinner: Tuna on Salad with one egg and feta cheese, with a boiled potato on the side! Not the best ever but not the worst! ;)

And yesterdays workout, Shock Plyo & Stretch and Strength!

Les Mills Combat Round 2 day 3

Nutrition, nutrition, nutrition!! Today I pretty much repeated meals I've already had, couldn't take another surprise dislike such as that cottage cheese! ;) 

So I had Pro Oatmeal for breakfast, Turkey Breast and Rice Cake for 1st snack, Chicken Pita for Lunch, and Steak on Salad again for dinner! 

I did have  a roast beef and whole grain bread sandwich, plain, for my 2nd snack which is a little different than the suggestion in the book but I didn't want another pita so I ate whole grain bread instead. I figured that couldn't be too awful bad for me!  

The thing I've missed most while attempting this plan has been the lack of condiments and bread at dinner! ;) I usually have toast with every dinner, now don't go crazy its always whole wheat toast! 

Anyway, I've been sticking too it about 90%, I've made a few substitutions here and there especially with the raspberries. I don't like them and they cost 4x's more than strawberries and, I'm sorry, I'm just not going to pay that much to eat something I don't like!! Also, I've been adding a handful of carrots before bedtime because I like to watch TV in bed and when I'm just lying there my mouth needs something to do! 

Today was Combat 30 and Core Attack so, without further ado, here it is!

Les Mills Combat Round 2 Day 2


Breakfast: Broccoli and Feta Omelet, it was gross!

 
Chicken, Feta, Lettuce and Hummus Pita, it was Delicious!!

 
I left my book at work today so I made up what I thought was close to the snack in the book and it was cottage cheese strawberries and 1/2 whole wheat toast with all natural peanut butter. the Cottage cheese was nasty, but everything else was good!


Dinner was also kind of made up since I forgot my book but it was a chicken salad with hot sauce!

And the Workout!!

Les Mills Combat Round 2 Day 1

Hello again! I am so excited to get back to Les Mills Combat but not so excited about the nutrition plan to be honest! 

Here are a few pics of what I ate during the day before and after my workout! I'm following the 1200 calorie plan as laid out in the Les Mills Combat Nutritional Guide. 


This is Pro Oatmeal, breakfast, I used chocolate protein powder with yolk-less boiled eggs, topped with paprika and bonfire sea salt, and strawberries.

The brown rice bowl with chicken, peas, corn and chili sauce, which I thought would be spicy but was sadly disappointed,... this was lunch



 And finally dinner consisted of a salad topped with steak and some strawberries on the side. 

I also had two snacks, a protein shake and multi grain rice cakes with all-natural peanut butter. That exact combo of rice cakes and PB wasn't in the Combat booklet but I was tired and just wanted food after my workout! Both items are on the guide so I figured it couldn't be too bad for me! LOL!


Its only for a week but I'm dying already! Not really but you know what I mean!! ;)

Post Les Mills Combat 60 day Challenge!!



As I expressed in my video, I only lost 6.5" on this round. I know that it is entirely my fault that I didn't get better results due to my lack of nutritional eating but I'm OK with that! Because now I know I can do this program and this time I will stick to the eating plan and not just the workout plan!! I will say that I have never done an exercise program that shaved any inches off of my arms but with Les Mills Combat I got 0.25" down on each arm and that is awesome! Here's to another 0.25" off my arms!!

     Arms:  -.25" each
Below are some before and after photos but like a dork I stitched them together after picture on the left instead of the right! duh! You can see a little bit of difference but its miniscule compared to what I hoping for in the months to come!!

Les Mills Combat Rest Day!

Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a great Valentines Day and that you are not going overboard with 50% off candy today! Don't lie! You went and got some! Its OK, so did I!

Today is a rest day and I thought I would share this video with you. It is an hour long live (or at least it was Live when it was filmed on Feb 13, 2013!) video chat with Dan and Rach creators and lead trainers for Les Mills Combat! They took in questions from people that are currently using the program and gave some super insightful answers! I learned a lot about what I should be doing to maximize my workouts and I hope you do too!

Update!

Good morning bloggers! Just wanted to get you a quick update on the old blog, I'm sure you've notice I haven't posted in thing in almost a week! I swear I'm still working out and I'm still filming my pre, post and workout but I seem to have run into a big problem known as...crappy wifi! LOL! I have been trying to upload the latest Combat 60 for 5 days now...the wifi keeps kicking my off and I have to start the video over... I'm kind of upset about it but I'm learning to deal with it! ;) These videos are on my computer. Now, I have some on my phone, where I usually film and upload from, so I'm going to try and get those online and then backtrack once I get everything else up and running! Please bear with me as I try to figure this all out! LOL!
